Dear Caregivers, As a veteran performer of over 60 long term care facilities I know that these songs hold special meaning and joy for seniors. In order to include songs other than those in the Public Domain (no copyright), I have obtained and paid for royalty rights. Songs may not be legally recorded without paying these royalties unless the composer or composers have been deceased for 50 years. Over the Rainbow and White Cliffs of Dover still require royalties to be paid! In fact most songs from the 40' 50's and later are under copyright which is why many sing along books or videos contain songs from the 1920's and WWI era. This is a very exciting project for me. I have been overwhelmed by the response and support of long term care recreation and activity staff. Thank you for all your interest and for the important work you do! Sincerely,
